CALGARY: Bridging Humanity Piece by Peace – Annual Calgary Peace Walk
On 20th March 2016, members of The Sant Nirankari Mission Canada Incorporated (SNM Canada) participated in the 5th Annual Calgary Peace Walk.
The event promoted the importance of peaceful relationships in the community, and brought together people from all faith traditions and cultural backgrounds in an effort to bring humanity one-step closer to a world at peace. The one-hour walk started at the Peace Bridge and continued around the downtown core. Participants from SNM Canada, mostly its Youth membership, dressed in shirts featuring His Holiness Nirankari Baba Ji’s universal messages of “Oneness”, “A World without Walls”, and “Humanness”.
Throughout the event there was a tangible positive energy and harmony being felt by all. Participants from SNM Canada engaged in many conversations, sharing the key principles and values of SNM Canada, and how these help them practice peaceful co-existence in their daily lives.
The event was also a wonderful opportunity to promote the upcoming Festival of Humanness (NIS2) being staged in Toronto later this year. NIS2 will see participants gathering from all corners of the world to sing, dance and share aspirations for a more peaceful and humane world.
